Workspace and teams

Your RecodeQR workspace is where your QR codes, branding, and teammates come together. Each workspace is its own space — with separate billing, settings, and members.

You can be part of multiple workspaces and switch between them easily.


What is a workspace?

A workspace contains everything related to a project or team:

  • QR codes
  • Scan analytics
  • Members and roles
  • Billing, subscription, and invoices
  • Branding and custom domains
  • API keys and webhooks

You can create as many workspaces as you need — for clients, departments, or campaigns.


Switch between workspaces

The workspace switcher is in the top-left corner, next to the RecodeQR logo.

To switch:

  1. Click the dropdown showing your current workspace
  2. Select another workspace
  3. Or click Create workspace to make a new one

Each workspace has its own codes, team, and subscription.


Invite teammates

You can invite teammates or clients to your workspace and assign a role.

To invite someone:

  1. Go to Workspace settings > Members
  2. Click Invite
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Choose a role: Admin or Editor
  5. Click Invite

They’ll receive an invite via email and appear under Members once they accept.


Roles and permissions

There are two roles:

  • Admin – Full access: QR codes, analytics, billing, domains, team management
  • Editor – Can create and manage QR codes, but can’t change billing or member settings

Roles can be updated anytime under Members.


Leave a workspace

To leave a workspace:

  1. Go to Workspace settings > Members
  2. Find your name
  3. Click Leave

If you're the only admin, you’ll need to promote someone else first — or delete the workspace.


Delete a workspace

To permanently delete a workspace:

  1. Go to Workspace settings > Danger Zone
  2. Click Delete workspace
  3. Type the workspace name to confirm
  4. Click to finalize deletion

⚠️ This action is permanent. All QR codes, data, and settings will be lost. Dynamic QR codes will stop working.
