Billing and invoices

Billing in RecodeQR is handled per workspace. Each workspace has its own subscription, billing details, and invoice history.


How billing works

When you upgrade a workspace, you're upgrading just that workspace — not your entire account. This makes it easy to manage clients or teams separately, each with their own plan.

To view or manage billing:

  • Go to Workspace settings > Subscription

There, you’ll see:

  • Your current plan (Starter, Pro, Business, etc.)
  • Plan renewal date
  • Usage details (e.g. dynamic QR code limits, team members)
  • Option to upgrade, downgrade, or cancel

View and download invoices

To access your billing history:

  1. Go to Workspace settings > Invoices
  2. You’ll see a list of all past invoices
  3. Click Download next to any invoice to save a PDF copy

Change your billing plan

To switch plans:

  1. Go to Workspace settings > Subscription
  2. Click Upgrade now or Change plan
  3. Select your new plan and complete checkout

Changes take effect immediately. You’ll be billed or prorated based on the difference in plan pricing.


Customize your plan with add-ons

Depending on your plan, you can increase its capacity by purchasing optional add-ons. For example, you can add extra dynamic QR codes, custom domains, or user seats.

To add or change add-ons:

  1. Go to Workspace settings > Subscription
  2. Scroll to the Add-ons section
  3. Use the + button to select the quantity for each add-on
  4. Complete checkout to apply them immediately

Add-ons are billed monthly or annually depending on what you pick, and are tied to the specific workspace.


Cancel your subscription

To cancel a paid plan:

  1. Go to Workspace settings > Subscription
  2. Click Cancel plan

What happens when you cancel?

When you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing cycle. After that:

  • Your workspace will be locked
  • Paid features like dynamic QR codes, custom domains, and analytics will be disabled
  • All codes and data are safely stored — you can re-upgrade anytime
